Executive Team
Marcin Kleczynski is CEO and co-founder of Malwarebytes, a cybersecurity company specializing in simple, intuitive cyberprotection for both consumer and businesses. Marcin believes everyone deserves the right to be safe online, and stands behind the belief by continuing to offer a free consumer product. As CEO, Marcin has overseen the phenomenal growth of Malwarebytes from a one-man band to a company with over 800 employees and offices across the globe. Today he continues to lead the strategic expansion of the business and guide the long-term vision for the research and development teams. Marcin is recognized as a foremost authority on cyberthreats, receiving numerous awards including the Silicon Valley’s 40 Under 40, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Forbes 30 Under 30.
Tom joined the company in April 2018 and leads finance, accounting, corporate strategy, legal affairs, and workplace operations at Malwarebytes. He has nearly 20 years of leadership experience in high-growth technology businesses in both financial and operating roles. Before Malwarebytes, Tom was CFO of Angie’s List, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANGI) and prior to that he spent over a decade at NAVTEQ Corp. (NYSE: NVT), and later Nokia, where he held executive and managerial roles across sales, product management, strategy, and investor relations. Tom also serves as an advisory board member at privately-held ZYYAH, Inc. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BBA from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
Barry Mainz, Chief Operating Officer (COO), leads global operations, sales, marketing, analytics, and customer success for Malwarebytes. In this role, he is responsible for leading customer-facing go-to-market strategies, operations, and activities, accelerating growth across our Consumer and Corporate businesses. Barry brings more than 25 years of experience in global sales, marketing, customer operations, and product development to Malwarebytes. He has held numerous executive leadership roles, including CEO, President, COO, CRO as well as advisory and board positions at private and public companies such as MobileIron, WindRiver (an Intel subsidiary), Makara (acquired by RedHat), and Sun Microsystems.
Mark Strassman joined Malwarebytes as the company’s Chief Product Officer in January 2020 to lead product and design. Mark brings a focus on customer empathy – anticipating user needs and delivering delightful experiences, while building and executing on strategies to meet emerging market trends. He comes to Malwarebytes from LogMeIn, where he was General Manager of their Unified Communication and Collaboration business unit, delivering the industry-leading GoTo product portfolio, serving hundreds of millions of users. Previously, he led BlueJeans’ product, design, and integrated portfolio strategy to transform from a video transcoding service to a communications and collaboration platform focused on end-user love and IT trust. Mark has also held senior leadership positions at Blackboard, Autodesk, Adobe Systems, and Macromedia. Mark holds a master’s degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
Camellia joined the company in 2018 and leads candidate and employee experience at Malwarebytes. She brings extensive human resources leadership experience that spans private and public technology companies, including compensation, and international business, insurance and employment law.
Greg is a Silicon Valley technology executive who brings more than 25 years of experience driving technology vision, strategy, global operations management, acquisition integration and scalable business growth. As Malwarebytes CIO, Greg oversees company security, business applications and information technology. Prior to joining Malwarebytes, he was CIO of Marketo, where he helped navigate a successful IPO and sale to Vista Equity Partners for $1.8 billion.
Adam Hyder, Senior Vice President of Engineering, drives Malwarebytes’ product development, innovation strategy, vision, engineering, and cloud operations, ensuring the company continues to make the world safer and more secure through innovations on its cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Adam has a proven track record of successfully bringing large-scale consumer and SaaS products to market and accelerating growth. Prior to Malwarebytes, Adam was EVP of Engineering at BlueJeans Network. He also served as the CTO of Jobvite and as the CTO of Yahoo HotJobs. Adam started his career with Sun Microsystems, where he worked on Java technologies in its early days.
Pedro envisions the future of advancements and threats that will impact the industry while leading his innovative team of engineers and developers to find proactive solutions. Pedro joined Malwarebytes in 2013 and was the co-founder of the company's anti-exploit technology.
Dariusz is our Chief Marketing Officer. He is focused on our consumer and corporate customers and responsible for amplifying our brand and accelerating business growth. He joined us from Verizon Media, where he led growth marketing for their $7.5B advertising, commerce, and subscription businesses – reaching over 900 million people around the world through brands such as Yahoo and TechCrunch. Prior to Verizon Media, he launched an award-winning craft spirits brand and served in key executive, marketing, and product leadership roles at pioneering technology companies such as Telenav, Microsoft, Bing, Tellme, Aol, Netscape, and MSNBC. Dariusz is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program and GE’s Financial Management Program. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Certificate in International Business from California State University at Long Beach, where he also received a swimming scholarship and competed for the Norwegian swim team. He’s an avid swimmer, cyclist, runner, triathlete, and skier. He lives in Menlo Park with his wife and children.
Fernando leads business and corporate development, focusing on the company’s worldwide market penetration. Since joining Malwarebytes in 2011, he has helped the company expand globally, opening our office in Estonia, and driving business growth through strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.
Jamie joined the company in 2016 and leads the worldwide support and services teams at Malwarebytes. In this role, she is responsible for the strategy and creation of the experience for current customers around support, customer education and technical account management. She brings more than 15 years of experience to this role and focuses on creating great customer experiences.

Previously, Alex was the president of the security business unit for GFI Software.
Brooke joined NEA in 2005 as a Venture Partner, focusing on software, systems, and Internet investments. He brings 30-plus years of experience in technology finance and operations. Brooke currently serves on the board of directors of Tableau Software, Lithium Technologies, SugarCRM, Technical Communities, and NVIDIA.
Justin has long been recognized as an industry leader in cybersecurity. He's served as an advisor to several companies, including Raytheon, Verasynth, and SentinelOne. Prior to joining SAP, he was CISO at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for the company's information security strategy. Before that, he was CISO at Symantec and VeriSign.
One of the original creators of the core technology in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Doug is a founder and partner at Zipline Scientific Consulting, focused on data-driven decision making, data analysis, machine learning, and quantitative problem-solving. He was formerly a research physicist with experience in theoretical and experimental physics, specializing in computational modeling and numerical simulation.
Gary founded Proofpoint in 2002 and led its rise from an early-stage start-up to a leading security-as-a-service provider, successfully going IPO in 2012. Prior to that, Gary was CEO at Portera, an early stage private SaaS company focused on delivering applications to the professional services industry.
Carolyn has over 20 years of experience leading high impact marketing organizations and building creative and effective marketing strategies for emerging and established brands.
Most recently, Carolyn was the Chief Marketing Officer at Dropbox where she developed and led its global marketing organization. Her legacy at Dropbox includes developing the company’s iconic, differentiated, and enduring brand; engaging and acquiring customers to drive growth; and, helping successfully execute the company’s IPO.
Carolyn has an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill. She currently serves on the board of directors at 826Valencia and the San Francisco Parks Alliance.
